Dunvegan Castle

Dunvegan Castle is the ancestral home of the Macleod clan.  Parts of the castle are open to the public however it is also a private residence - Hugh Macleod is the 130th clan chief; his private apartments are off limits to visitors.  The Macleods have called Dunvegan home for 800 years making it the oldest continuously occupied castle in Scotland.
